Welcome to the the official website of FIRST Team 2949, Pwnage. We are high school students competing in the FRC (First Robotics Competition) division of FIRST (For Inspiration and Recognition of Science and Technology). Our mission is to help students in the Chicago area learn about science, technology, and FIRST Robotics.

Pwnage students come from all over the Fox Valley area of Illinois, and the team is based in Batavia, IL (a suburb of Chicago). Our members attend different schools, but come together to build an FRC robot and spread the message of FIRST around our community.

FIRST is about technology, science, innovation, and teaching students how to interact in a real world environment. Our members learn through FIRST (and with help from Genesis Automation) what it means to be an engineer, and a team player. Near the beginning of every year, a new game is released for FRC. Teams have 6 weeks to build a robot, capable of competing in the year's game. Students are challenged to find innovative ways to solve problems as they work through the "build-season."
